DVM Focus is recruiting an Associate Veterinarian for an established small animal practice in the Columbia metro area. This opportunity offers a broad companion animal caseload, flexible scheduling, mentorship, and an experienced team committed to collaborative patient care.

New graduates and experienced veterinarians are both encouraged to explore the opportunity.

What You’ll Do

Your caseload may include:

• Wellness and preventive medicine
• General medical care
• Diagnostic workups and treatment planning
• Routine soft-tissue surgery
• Dentistry
• Same-day sick visits
• Client education and communication
• Collaboration with veterinarians and support staff

You’ll have room to continue strengthening your medical and surgical skills while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets.

What They’re Looking For

• DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree
• Active South Carolina veterinary license or ability to obtain one
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care
• Commitment to compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine
• Interest in continued learning and professional development

New graduates are welcome, and mentorship is available.

Compensation & Benefits

Market-based compensation range: $110,000–$180,000, depending on experience, qualifications, schedule, clinical skill set, and compensation structure.
